“A gem of a book.
I read it in a couple of days and found it to be most enjoyable. I liked the bookines and the love of books, the vision of the Alice Island Book Shop, all the characters.

“Simple premise and thread of the book is the main character relives her life and can sometime change the future, if this was the case why doesn’t she write this book better then.
The writing style annoyed the heck out of me and if it wasn’t for the fact it was our book club read I’d have binned it after 30 pages. Do yourself a favour and don’t start it. Book club liked it more than me and gave it 6.3/10

“My first novel by this literary American author.
It is a good one to go for and I’ll go away and read more because of this.
Four characters are involved but Miles Heller is the main one. He has dropped out after a family tragedy, and it’s how his life comes back through his love of a under age girl, If the writing wasn’t so go and the novel so well constructed this under age relationship would jar and the book would fall apart, so great credit to the author.

“I’m recommending this one. It begins as a black comedy but moves on once it has your attention. The two brothers lives almost switch over and ultimately this is a very good novel where second chances are given and goodness shines through. The middle gets a little weird but the author pulls it back and finishes everything off nicely.
