“My first translated novel from Argentina, his debut novel too.
Nothing complicated about this one, two street kids from the very rough end of the city get themselves mixed up in a drug landlords feud.
Vivid writing and urban language, I liked this one, a fast page turner.

“Set in 50’s America, a deaf man meets a mute girl in an asylum, they run away and get split up.
In true love style they never give up of finding each other.
Predictable and mediocre, poorly written, should have stayed in the ink cartridge.
Our book group gave this 4/10

“I met Sue Townsend after reading this her latest novel. A remarkable woman, disabled by diabetes but undeterred with life. Her son takes dictation, but when I asked her if he adds any ideas or content the answer was a define NO!
This novel didn’t do it for me though I’d loved the Adrian Mole early books.
Pretty much the title tell the story… mundane stuff.

“An enjoyable novel if somewhat strange.
An American bartender tells us his tale of falling into drinking too much and how his life falls apart.
The bar dwellers are all to real and wonderfully described.
Nearly put me off drinking, nearly!
