“Funny little books this about a rat who begins life eating books, this gives him the ability to read.
The story goes nowhere and what stats out as an interesting concept, left me feeling that I’d wasted my time on such a shallow book.

“This my second reading of this book. I’m not sure I relate to its intended meaning, it seems so obvious that I’m looking for some hidden meaning!
Hey, give it a read and feel spiritually up-lifted.

“Hooray a good book! Best this year by a country mile.
So why did I like it so much?
Told in the first person – Patrick has been dumped by his girl friend and leaves home for new start. He arrives in a seaside guesthouse. Things fall apart and poor old Patrick finds himself in prison. But this is not a mystery but a sinister story, which the pages fly by.
For me his voice is the key to its success.
Read more by her…Yes.

“For a first novel I made allowances.
With a back drop of Kenya I thought ‘yes, this sounds good’ But a ludicrous plot and more violence than I’d prefer brings me to the conclusion not to read more by this author.
