I guess I was expecting so much more from this novel, loved God of Small Things and scored that very high. This is long and dare I say boring. Sorry… book group score of 3/10 me a measly 2/10

Oh well I’m giving it a low score, our group average was marginally better at 3/10 me a lowly 2/10. A poorly written romance/chicklit about a female resistance fighter in WW2. There are so many better books to read. The Nightingale, which was named Goodreads Best Historical fiction novel for 2015 – WHY?

“Never having read an Agatha Christie novel before I thought I should. Looks like a picked the wrong one, it was dreadful!
If this is her attempt to pen a James Bond thriller type of book then it falls well short. I’m sharing a review of this novel from when it was first published. but my score is 2/10

“Oh dear, I thought this a real disappointment, and so did our book club. We gave it an average score of 2/10 with my score also 2/10.
