“Implausible British thriller. Bored mother lures young lad into big old house on the river Thames.
Gradually (and it is gradually) we reach all the answers that we know are coming.
I’m a pretty harsh critic with thrillers, they have to have the thrill factor to achieve the thriller genre. This didn’t

“American run of the mill thriller.
Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with this serial killer who stalks women and the chase by detectives to catch him page turner, but the characters lack depth, the plot is intended to shock and scare but didn’t.
I know readers enjoyed this book (read the reviews on Amazon) so if you are one of these people tell me what I’m missing.

“What a disappointment, so many people have recommended this author to me.
This is her latest Jackson thriller.
I’ll sum it up…Tripe! A book which uses cliché after cliché, drove me mad.
Gave up early, took my Dog for a Walk!

“A classic crime thriller?
In the traditional sense of the genre this hits the spot bang on. A proper puzzler, no need for blood and gore.
Two million copies of this have been sold in Japan WOW, now translated it might miss something, but not for me.
One knows from fairly near the start who murders who. But the pages fly by.
Also a cult film, that I need to watch…how will they do the book?
My faith is restored in the crime/thriller genre…thank you Keigo Higashino.
