A clever writer, observational and amusing, but he throws in some thought provoking items, such as a visit to Auschwitz.
A retire professor who is nearly deaf gets in a pickle with a manipulative female student.
It’ll be worth reading more by him.

Another thriller, this time set in London.
A house share with an interesting group of individuals. Told in two parts from the beautiful Astrid’s view, she is a cycle courier and somehow becomes connected with three murders. Part two and we swap narrators and learn who the killer is and get his side of the story.
