Kitty, youngest of a large family, on the face of it this about her and a complicated troubled life.
But its so much more than that, deeply emotional and perfectly written I loved this book and it stayed with me for ages.
Vivid and intense…wonderful. The Man Booker Prize Best Novel nominee.

What a cracking read. Modern day crime culture, told in street language. Violent and fully charged.
I read it as an audiobook and it was perfectly, yes perfectly narrated by Paul Thornley, he and I later went to Chelmsford prison and did a talk to the inmates…I know they enjoyed it.
Go to your local library and ask for the audiobook edition.

Oskar Schell is one of those wonderfully colourful and expertly written characters, a nine year old boy who’s life is turned upside down by 9/11 disaster.
I urge you to read this book, it ranks with the highest scores I’ll ever give…never going to be a perfect ten by the way.
Let me know what you think of his ‘heavy boots’

Everyone should read this book. It is stunning. I wanted to tell everyone about it, then discuss it with them.
I’m not even going to tell you what it’s about, buy it, read it and recommend it
Deservedly won the Orange prize and then, later, the Orange of Oranges.
