Rather interestingly this doesn’t have the cosy ending one gets with most teenage novels. In fact it leaves you hanging for the next in the series.
A young girl discovers special powers and finds she is the result of an experiment of a genetic trial trying to create the perfect human.
Enter the mad scientist… her father, but is he a good guy or a baddy?
The next book will be out soon, will I read it?

Teens novel and not bad at all.
Brother and sister are making a living pretending to conjure ghosts using Victorian type methods.

Kids book which has been around for some time.
Ok, but dated and a bit simplistic. Has something though.

“Winner of the Nestle 10-12 year olds prize.
This author also does adult fiction too.
Good read and in places hard hitting, death, murder and then back to easy for 11 year olds.
Orphan siblings have to stay with distant Aunt in Norway. You guessed it she lives on the edge of The Shadow Forest, where the evil ruler is stealing everyone’s shadows. I liked it.
