“Woefully out of touch, when an author uses words like ‘The Fuzz’ The Filth’, all the characters are from a different era but set in today’s times.
I read this all the way through because I had an event where I would introduce and have lunch with her, sorry Ruth but time to hang up the typewriter.
Who ever heard of a man addicted to sugar free sweets…ridiculous.

“When a married convent girl meets a hansome lost soul of a man, set in the west of Ireland 1950, you know it’s not going to end well.
But Trevor’s skill is in the journey and creation of characters.
I really could imagine all the scenes, the farm house, the old manor etc.
Very good and yes I must read more by him.

“His second novel, and his first for twenty years.
Wonderful black comedy and I though very funny.
A sex obsessed door to door salesman spins out of control. His wife commits suicide and Bunny and Bunny Jnr go on the road in Brighton.
At times very sad, shocking, bizarre.
I totally recommend this, but careful don’t lend it to your Granny.

“Three siblings living in London and making their way into life.
The youngest has Aspergers, which makes for a different read. My problem was though…all of them seem to have issues. I think there was enough in the story to keep me happy, it could have stayed a bit simpler maybe and still had the same effect.
