“Tom Sharpe is now an elderly gentleman of 81, he is showing his age with this his latest offering. I thought this very dated in style and found it hard to muster the energy to continue, but doggedly I finished.
A quick read which grew on me, I actually enjoyed its lightness and nothingness. Silly and endearing.

“Biog of his time in NYC and working for Vanity Fair.
Funny and interesting , as I got into the book I liked him more and more. Usually biographies have the opposite effect.

“Funny little books this about a rat who begins life eating books, this gives him the ability to read.
The story goes nowhere and what stats out as an interesting concept, left me feeling that I’d wasted my time on such a shallow book.
