“This one is a tad different. For a first novel I’m impressed.
It’s a delightfully odd story about the adult children of a pair of avant-garde performance artists, the ultimate dysfunctional American family.
The beginning is funny and light, the flashbacks to the art they create as a family are sideswipes at modern art.
As the novel goes on it becomes more serious, the kids, child A & B are older and feel used.
This was a likeable read, a mixture of Andy Warhol meets the Adams Family.
