“This is the winner of the CWA (Crime Writers Association) Gold Dagger Award, the UK’s premier crime award.
I’m going to rant now…The CWA have since said that they will not allow a translation to win this prize in the future, narrow minded imbeciles, I’ve cancelled my subscription with immediate effect.
Back to the book, modern day Iceland a body is discovered in an excavation site, the body has been buried for decades.
He covers strong stuff, murder, abuse and rather a dark and gloomy read.
Fast paced and easy to see why it won. Not sure I’d read more by the author, then I’m not a big crime reader.
Score 7/10
