“Having thoroughly enjoyed The Long Firm, this new book came along with some controversy. In fact withdrawn and re-edited because one of the main characters was a bit too similar to a real life celeb! Lovely stuff, I read the uncut ed.
Not for the prudish or homophobes. Bordering on porn Arnott embraces all the combinations of boy/girl/girlboy/boy etc.
70’s Glam Rock London and a memorable rent boy called Sweet Thing.
The book works wonderfully but don’t lend it to your maiden aunt.

“Here’s a good example of a bad example. This teens audiobook had been poorly cast.
Regardless of the story I couldn’t continue listening to Virginia Leishman’s plumy voice.

“I couldn’t be bothered to finish this, a complete load of rubbish.
Not worth publishing, let alone reading.

“Debut novel and a crackingly good read, sorry it finished.
Private Eye thriller that has real credibility. Our protagonist is a total loser who goes from one drunken mistake to the next.
His refreshingly breaks the crime novel mould. I’ll read more by him.
