“Based upon true life events but not exactly non fiction.
This is a story of a disastrous attempt to cross the Sahara desert in a Morris Traveller.
Some lived to tell the tale from 1955. Either naive or stupid, you decide for yourself.

“Crickey, probably another series/trilogy. I must stop doing this,
Billed as a vampire/shocker/thriller it does almost what it says on the tin,
It didn’t shock or thrill me or the book club members.
Some good visuals and atmosphere but all a bit clichéd and predictable.
Give me Dracula anytime.

“First in a trilogy and very popular at the moment.
Larsson died young and no more will be written, a real shame. Translated from Swedish. Great characters, a well drawn plot and complex without being too complicated.
I’ll read the rest.

“Tom Sharpe is now an elderly gentleman of 81, he is showing his age with this his latest offering. I thought this very dated in style and found it hard to muster the energy to continue, but doggedly I finished.
A quick read which grew on me, I actually enjoyed its lightness and nothingness. Silly and endearing.
