“Here is a classic example of not believing the hype/reviews on the back of the book eg “”Supremely plotted and incredibly well-written.”” –The Independent”
A somewhat load of drivel, how we maintained a discussion about this at book club shows we take our reading serious.

“Not a bad effort from this actor. I listened to it on audio and he narrated it himself.
If I was a 10 year old boy would I enjoy this?

“Marvellous story telling with heroes and monsters, good versus evil.
An adult novel from Gaiman which still leans more towards young adult.
Our book group gave it a 7.1/10 and thought it had references to the authors religious upbringing, what do you think?

“Take note, I don’t think I’ll read a better book for pure enjoyment than this in 2014
The story of Barrington, a seventy-four-year-old Caribbean man who moved to Hackney in the fifties, is preparing to come out of the closet to his wife and adult children.
So funny I laughed out loud many many times.
