Well how am I scoring this higher than The Metamorphosis? Some thing different about this novel we all really liked. Based on Max Brod and Franz Kafka, the author brings a (sort of) true story to a enjoyable read. Love, betrayal, literary rivalry. Good stuff. book group 7/10 me nearly and 8 but 7.75/10

Short but not so sweet. I enjoyed the experience and feel it ought to be on school reading lists. A significant novel in Literature.

The Latest Rebus novel and same old same old. I’m not a fan of series of books and always looking for something that is a bit different. This one is well done, plods along.

I guess I was expecting so much more from this novel, loved God of Small Things and scored that very high. This is long and dare I say boring. Sorry… book group score of 3/10 me a measly 2/10
