Yes that Mark Gatiss from the excellent TV show ‘The League of Gentleman’.
I was hoping for a lot more but finished the book disappointed and a tad frustrated.
Victorian special agent who solves Fleming type world villains.
Categorised by me as comic but not funny…why do books rarely hit the comic mark?

Very popular author and this a mini series with Professor Doctor Moritz-Maria von Igelfeld getting mixed up with the lecture circuit and his egocentric antics.
An author I had the pleasure of meeting and introducing to a group. We all had afternoon tea together, more Earl Grey vicar!
Alas I didn’t take to this so called humorous novella. Gave up and went onto my next read.

Very enjoyable and first rate read. Can’t wait to read more by him.
A modern day telling of Sedaris’s family life with Gerald Durrell flavour and his laugh out loud (and you won’t hear this phrase very often from me) humour. Loved it
The bit about the big dog and little dog really made me chuckle.
