My regular fix of Bryant and May the octogenarian detectives at the London Peculiar Crime Unit and all their sidekicks. If you haven’t tried one of these then treat your self 6/10

I read this knowing I’d meet up and introduce the author at an event. A well constructed and page turning thriller. I liked its broodiness and it captures Dublin nicely. I’d read more by him 5/10

Oh well I’m giving it a low score, our group average was marginally better at 3/10 me a lowly 2/10. A poorly written romance/chicklit about a female resistance fighter in WW2. There are so many better books to read. The Nightingale, which was named Goodreads Best Historical fiction novel for 2015 – WHY?

Not as good as other thrillers by an author who I generally recommend. After the death of the six year old boy that she is looking after and with no memory of what happened. Enough to keep me reading though
