“Perhaps I’m being unfair to this legal thriller with 4/10 but come on editors don’t let the author pad it out!
The plot (made for TV) rich white lawyer gets stitched…enter stereotype black prostitute woman (don’t forget the sob story) to help out.
It’s bound to sell well.

“Debut novel and a crackingly good read, sorry it finished.
Private Eye thriller that has real credibility. Our protagonist is a total loser who goes from one drunken mistake to the next.
His refreshingly breaks the crime novel mould. I’ll read more by him.

“Billed as Robinson Crusoe meets The Life of Pi…no chance, doesn’t even come close.
Historical tale of whalers in the Arctic who leave Thomas Cave behind over winter to deal with his grief.
I should have given up when the left him.
